Bulletin 2008/6 – 26 November 2008
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) held its final meeting for 2008 in Melbourne on 26 November 2008.  The principal matters dealt with at the meeting were: an update on recent international and stakeholder meetings, outcomes of the Public Sector accounting workshop, and consideration of appointments to the AASB and AUASB.
Bulletin 2008/5 – 3 December 2008
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has announced the completion of a report on accounting issues emerging from the global financial crisis. The report is being presented to the joint IASB/FASB roundtable meeting in Tokyo on 3 December 2008.
Bulletin 2008/4 – 3 September 2008
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) held its fourth meeting for 2008 in Sydney on 3 September 2008.  The principal matters dealt with at the meeting were: outcomes of the international financial reporting standards (IFRS) workshop, an update from the Chairperson of the Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board (APESB), the upcoming public sector accounting workshop, an update on recent stakeholder meetings and emissions trading.
Bulletin 2008/3 – 11 June 2008
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) held its third meeting for 2008 in Canberra on 11 June 2008.  The principal matters dealt with at the meeting were: emissions trading, public sector accounting; credit crisis, financial improvements project, G100-FRC IFRS post-implementation review workshop, AASB, AUASB and FRC Business Plans and Future Direction and reports from the standards setters and committees.
Bulletin 2008/2 – 9 April 2008
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) held its second meeting for 2008 in Melbourne on 9 April 2008.  The principal matters dealt with at the meeting were: an update on XBRL, an update on recent international stakeholder meetings, a discussion paper on the role of the auditor in relation to the preparation of a prospectus for an audit client, a possible post-implementation review of the adoption of IFRS in Australia and reports from standards setters and committees.
Bulletin 2008/1 – 12 February 2008
The first Financial Reporting Council (FRC) meeting for 2008 was held in Melbourne on 12 February 2008. The main issues considered at the meeting were: the performance of the FRC’s auditor independence function, the ongoing financial contributions of the professional bodies, proposed changes to the governance structure for the FRC, AASB and the AUASB, a new business plan programme for the FRC, the AASB and AUASB, the 2008 Ken Spencer Memorial Lecture and reports from standards setters and committees.
